The Romans Road To Salvation

The Romans Road to Salvation is a clear, step-by-step method used in evangelism to explain the gospel through key verses in the Book of Romans. It outlines the need for salvation (all have sinned), the consequence of sin (death), God’s remedy (Jesus’ death), and how to receive this gift through faith and confession.

Key Scriptures in the Romans Road:

  • "As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one."

  • “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God".

  • "For the wages of sin is death…"

  • "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".

  • "…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord".

  • "That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. For their is no difference between the Jew and the Greek for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. "

  • "Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us".

  • "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus."

  • "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all had sinned."

  • “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.”

Steps to Salvation:

1. Admit Sin:

Recognize that you are a sinner in need of a savior.

2. Believe in Jesus:

Trust that Jesus died for your sins and was raised from the dead.

3. Confess Jesus as Lord:

Surrender your life to Him.

4. Pray

PRAYER

Dear Father God, I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I know without Jesus I'm lost. I believe in my heart that You are the Lord God of the universe. Be the Lord God of my life right now. I believe that Jesus died for my sins, and I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead. Give me that same resurrection life right now. Lord Jesus, I believe in my heart that You are the Son of the living God. I believe You died for me. I believe You were raised for me. I believe You shed Your blood for me. I turn from my sins and ask Jesus Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Savior. Wash me in Your blood, cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Be the Lord God of my life right now. Lord Jesus, I'm calling upon Your name, and according to Your Word, I am saved!

Heavenly Father, thank you for saving me. Thank you for making me new from the inside out. I ask you now to baptize me with the Holy Ghost. Fill me with power from on high to be a witness for You.

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!

"The Bible Way To Receive The Holy Spirit"

Receiving the Holy Spirit is entirely a matter of faith. Here are seven steps that you can follow to help a person who wants to receive the Holy Spirit the Bible way…by faith!

  • Help that person see and understand that God already gave the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, and that the Holy Spirit has been in this world ever since. Let that individual know that it is up to him or her to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Make sure the person knows that he or she is not to beg God to fill them with the Holy Spirit. Begging is unbelief; unbelief begs, and faith shouts.

  • Lead that person to understand and see that anyone who is saved is ready to receive the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 - "Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be ye baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

  • Tell the person to expect to receive the Holy Spirit when hands are laid on him or her.

  • Tell the person to expect the spirit to move on his (her) vocal cords and put supernatural words on his (her) lips. Man does the speaking, but the Holy Spirit gives the utterance. Acts 2:4 -- "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

  • Tell the individual to throw away all the fears that have been instilled by foolish teachers that something false might be received. Help them to understand that they will not receive a substitute or cheap imitation of the Holy Spirit.

  • Encourage the person to open their mouth wide, breathe in, and tell God: "I am receiving the Holy Spirit right now by faith." Insist that the person not speak a single word in their natural language.

  • Do not crowd around persons who come seeking the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Don't give them confusing instructions. Those present should pray in the Spirit if they are going to pray out loud; otherwise, they should pray quietly in their natural language.
